ArcaBoard 272 horsepower inside a skateboard
Experience what you’ve always dreamed of.
Ride across any terrain or water with the vehicle that was virtually impossible, until today. Do what you want, whenever you want, wherever you want. Each time you ride the ArcaBoard you will find yourself at the center of a new exhilarating experience.
A huge amount of power inside.
How do you put 272 horsepower inside a vehicle slightly larger than a skateboard? The answer is with very great care. The Electric Ducted Fans (EDF), together with the controllers and the batteries, they occupy 90 percent of the space inside the board. This generates a significant amount of heat that is dissipated using a high performance cooling system. By using 36 power fans we ensure that even in the case of multiple motor failures there are enough motors remaining to take over so you keep on riding.
Thanks to new production partnerships worked out with American and Chinese companies such as Southwest Composite Works Inc. and Eco Molding Co., price has dropped to $14,900.
It has also been announced that replacement battery packs will be offered, so that users can swap in a freshly-charged pack in less than a minute instead of waiting 35 minutes for a recharge.
Plans call for the ArcaBoard to be “officially introduced” on April 14th at Monaco’s Top Marques event. Pre-orders can be made via the link below, with deliveries scheduled to begin in April. In the meantime, check out the just-posted video of one of the prototypes.
